We incorporate both a play based and academic based philosophy. The children are instructed in; Language Arts (fiction/ nonfiction, predictions, comprehension), Writing (proper letter and number formation), Phonics (letter sound and recognition), Science (experiments, discovery, exploring), Social Studies (community, rules, cultures), Math (counting, patterns, sorting), Creative Arts (coloring, painting, cutting). They are also given time to explore those subjects independently or in groups during centers. Throughout the day the children are also given several opportunities to have free play both inside and outside. Free play gives children time to use their imagination, discover interests and interact with their peers playing games, building, and large motor activities. We also have a daily music time where the children learn new songs and have the opportunity to move their bodies.
We provide two snacks a day and lunch. All meals are prepared on site and help children learn healthy choices at an early age that will last a lifetime.
